The technology commercialized by X-Ray Imatek was developed as part of a European project funded under the FP5 program: “Detection of EARly MArkers in MAmmography” (DEAR-MAMA). This project had a total budget in excess of two million euros and it lasted for five years. We have shown this R&D model to be successful and we intent to continue this approach.
Since the development of the technology there have been new advances in different fields and now we are working on a new 3-D real-time stereotaxic biopsy system.

The combined R&D experience of the members of X-Ray Imatek exceeds more than three decades and covers all the different aspects of detector technologies (electronics, radiation capture, solid state physics, software, etc). We can provide state-of-the-art solutions from the knowledge gathered throughout the years, and help customers understand and solve their own problems.
To continue the R&D work, the company continuously seeks interesting projects and collaborations. Also, it maximizes the use of public funds (or soft credits from private banking) to help support its research work. There are several interesting sources of public (or soft private) funding which one can apply for such us FP7 (new call of European funded projects), PROFIT (credit loan from the Spanish Ministry), etc.
